….And Breathe

Sunday 15th August is World Relaxation Day!

World Relaxation Day encourages us to and be mindful of how we’re feeling both physically and mentally, and to put our wellbeing first.

As we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the daily life, taking time to focus on taking care of yourself can play an important part in reducing many health risks including stress. Poor sleeping patterns, headaches and anxiety are all signs that you might be stressed and need to take some time out.

Everyone’s idea of how to relax is different, but here are a few of our favourite ways to unwind:

Go For A Walk
A stroll at a comfortable pace around your local park or to your favourite coffee shop and back is a great way to release endorphins and improve your mood.

Take A Bath
Relaxing in a warm bath can work wonders for joint and muscle relief, leaving you with a more relaxed mind and body. Try adding  a CBD bath bomb and some candles to take it to the next level.

Read
Studies have shown that reading can help you to relax by lowering  your heart rate and relaxing your muscles.

Exercise
Exercising regularly can help the body to release mood elevating endorphins which can reduce stress levels and are the perfect way reinvigorate you.

Meditate
Find a quiet space and focus your attention on your breathing. As you breath in focus on taking in fresh air and as you breath out think about letting go of any stress from your mind and body.

Enjoy Yourself!
Go to a movie, catch up with friends or even gardening might seem like simple ideas, but  if it brings you joy you’re more likely to be relaxed without even thinking about it.
